Ultra Tool and Manufacturing is currently seeking a Material Handler/Driver.
The Material Handler/Driver must be able to perform all tasks associated with material handling, receiving, packing, shipping, and must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who can make sound decisions that are in the best interest of the customer, and of the company. The Material Handler/Driver must be able to work safely with a variety of material handling tools and devices. Delivery of material to customers and suppliers will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Loading and unloading parts and material.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as PO’s, travelers and pack slip to verify accuracy.
- Organize/locate material in warehouse racks.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Uncrating/unpacking of materials prior to delivery to work centers.
- Reconciliation of lost/missing material.
- Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of warehouse materials.
- Responsible for the delivery and pick-up of parts locally and to nearby regional cities.
- Work at rapid pace to meet work deadlines
- Saw cut raw material and stage for operators
- Provide metal finishing/deburring assistance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must have reliable vehicle
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience
- Solid understanding of inventory control
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
- Experienced in unloading various materials from a variety of trucks and vehicles
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other employees as well as other vendors
- Ability to follow work instructions, effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues.
- Excellent organization skills, with ability to multi-task.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented with a focus on exceptional customer service and quality.
- Display a strong sense of urgency in researching, tracking and correcting problems in a timely manner.
- Perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
