Ultradent, the global name in oral health is seeking a Quality Control Chemistry Lab Supervisor to join Ultradent’s Quality team on day shift (6:30 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday). As the QC Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of chemists and technicians. You will manage, plan, coordinate, and direct quality control laboratory programs designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards.
Job Duties
- Supervise a team of 6-10 chemists and technicians.
- Personnel management including employee time, performance, and training.
- Provide general oversight and support of the QC Chemistry Lab, ensuring safe, efficient, and GMP-compliant operation.
- Perform and supervise laboratory investigations.
- Write, update, and review SOPs, specifications, and other Quality records.
- Oversee management of laboratory equipment and instruments, including maintenance, qualification, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Perform/support laboratory method development, validation, and transfer projects.
- Interface with other departments to assist with projects, provide technical expertise, and support company initiatives.
- Review data and prepare reports.
- Test raw materials, bulk intermediates, finished goods and stability samples for quality attributes following applicable SOPs and test methods.
What we're looking for in you:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry or related science.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a QC analytical laboratory environment.
- Understanding of good laboratory and documentation practices in relation to GMP.
- Leadership Skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of laboratory testing processes.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (emphasis on HPLC, GC, and IC).
- Proficient computer skills including proficiency with LIMS, MS Office Suite, and analytical lab software.
- Capable of data analysis using basic statistics.
- Ability to work independently, without too much supervision.
