Job Title: Quality Auditor I
Shift: 1st Shift
The Quality Auditor builds healthy communities through play and recreation by coaching and reviewing work on product to ensure it meets standards. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
· Dimensional lay out, positions of attachments and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, rule other measuring instruments.
· Read prints, set up inspections sheets and enter print specifications.
· Measure parts and enter data into inspection sheet(s)
· Set up part(s) to measure print details
· Locate &obtain parts for inspections, measuring and quality verification sign-off.
· Observe & monitor production processes and record data, audit to op sheets.
· Inspect/audit using micrometer, caliper and other measuring instruments.
· Process instrument calibrations; pH meters, measuring instruments.
· Basic understanding of “BASE” & “ACID” pH, titrations and chemical handling.
· Work independently, with minimal oversight, multi - task.
· Projects such as oven “data paq” recording, part temp “data paq”, process launch
· Satisfy the required hours that support production. (See other requirements)
· Assignment to other departments and projects as necessary to support manufacturing.
· Inter-department cross training to develop needed skills.
· Inter-department engagement to support & develop process/product/skills.
· Take direction from and support inter-department tasks.
· Manage and give directions to others supporting the quality process.
· Interface with suppliers & vendors on quality issues & objectives which could include travel (one day) to offsite location with the objective of resolving quality issues.
· Involved with root cause analysis with research and data ex.: weld fixtures vs weld issues, product quality and print details.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Set an example for team members of commitment, application of skill, work ethics and habits and personal character.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Requires a broad knowledge of welding, coatings, some chemistry.
· The inspection/audit process will vary widely depending on product, manufacturing/fabrication process and location.
· Accurate functional application of fractions, decimal conversions, angles, distances, metric and standard systems.
· Accuracy, data recording, record keeping.
Travel
Travel between manufacturing locations, warehouses (some outside of Red Bud)
Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as other computer/web - based programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Read and interpret blueprints. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Measure and cut materials to meet the specifications of the project.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
Other Requirements/Skills
This is a multiple shift position (Day shift & afternoon) that supports production which encompasses overtime. Working in a multi- faceted – multi environmental manufacturing environment(s). Take direction from several sources, filter assimilate the information to get positive outcome.
Basic use of print reading and use of CAD dwg/ PDF. file. (internal training on CAD will be available).
Accountability for measuring equipment and tools. Pass internal fork - lift training.

· The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the manufacturing environment such as steel toe shoes, eye protection and welding arc protection such as gloves and fire resistance clothing.
· The employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions.
· The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection is required in specific areas of the facility.
