Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ascertains equipment model and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advises customer of part needed according to description of malfunction.
- Discusses use and features of various parts.
- Create contacts, prepare quotations, enter orders, and log interactions in the CRM system.
- Communicate inventory needs to the Purchasing department to anticipated customer needs and minimize stockouts.
- Share leads, critical customers information, and market intel with the Equipment, Supplies, and Service teams.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred; engineering degree a plus.
- Minimum two (2) years related experience in customer service or sales; general parts sales experience (regardless of industry) is a preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; responds promptly to customer needs.
- Experience in a technical setting or knowledge of food packaging and supplies preferred but not required.
- Ability to identify and resolves problems, works well in group problem solving situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk, listen and frequently use hands to finger, handle, type, and feel. Required to occasionally stand and travel both domestically and abroad to visit work and customer sites. Be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:
In addition to a typical office environment, the employee must also frequent the company's warehouse and customer locations with moderate exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, noise, and working equipment (electrical and mechanical hazards).
