Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and perform repairs.
- Complete work orders, maintain accurate records of repairs, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Safely operate and transport heavy equipment as needed using a Class A CDL.
- Work in various environments, including outdoor job sites and shop settings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in a construction, transportation, or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, welding, and fabrication is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment parts, work in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
- ASE Certification or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with fleet maintenance and DOT compliance.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
