What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Swiss Programmer position at UMA Precision Machining?
SUMMARY:
The Swiss Programmer position is responsible for, but not limited to programming and setup of CNC machinery producing precision medical components and instruments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces programs for machines to run high volume and R&D orders
- Set-up and operation of machines when applicable
- Reads and interprets hard copies and/or computerized drawings and specifications for parts
- Computes dimensions and tolerances. Uses geometric tolerances and interprets and applies those requirements to tooling and production parts
- Inspects completed components using CMM
- Troubleshoots quality problems by effectively utilizing process control and corrective actions
- Have the ability to increase production and streamline set-ups for optimum efficiencies and quality
- Have the ability to trouble shoot quality problems by effectively utilizing process control and corrective actions
- Adherence and support of ISO 13485:2016 quality system requirements
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of experience working as a Swiss Programmer or Set-Up Machinist preferred
- Experience with Citizen and Tsugami required
- Fundamental understanding quality systems, documentation, and implementation to ISO Standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016
- Experience with R&D and NPI is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
