Position Title: IT Security Specialist – Nutanix Engineering and Integration

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist with a focus on Nutanix engineering and integration. This role involves designing, developing, and integrating Nutanix solutions, providing technical guidance, and ensuring alignment with business goals and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Nutanix Solution Design: Design and develop Nutanix solutions, showcasing their capabilities and ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define the production Nutanix environment.
• Nutanix Suite Evaluation: Execute evaluations of the Nutanix suite, including setup, configuration, testing, and documentation.
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the Nutanix lifecycle.
• Documentation & Analysis: Analyze and present design documentation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technology Trends: Stay current with the latest Nutanix technologies and industry trends to ensure best practices.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks during Nutanix evaluations and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to align Nutanix efforts with business objectives.
• Lifecycle Management: Maintain detailed documentation of Nutanix deployment processes, configurations, and lifecycle management.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Nutanix Expertise: Extensive experience with Nutanix technologies, including AHV, Prism Central, and Foundation, as well as design, automation, and deployment of Nutanix solutions.
• Workload Management: Knowledge of software workload management and orchestration tools such as Self Service (Calm) and VAA (vRA).
• IT Infrastructure: Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and infrastructure.
• VMware Virtualization: Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting and automation with languages such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including DMZ firewall ports and protocols.
• Security Hardening: Familiarity with security hardening procedures and concepts.
• Virtual Desktops: Experience with HVD (Virtual Desktop) running on Nutanix.
