Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical SME / Construction Coordinator to oversee mechanical building system startups, commissioning activities, and construction coordination at our Georgetown, KY facility. This 12-month onsite contract role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, safety regulations, and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee mechanical building system startups & commissioning activities.
- Review engineering design drawings, equipment submittals, and contractor RFIs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and hazardous energy control procedures (Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash Safety, etc.).
- Verify compliance with industry codes and standards (IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, ASHRAE, etc.).
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Conduct inspections to confirm work progress, quality standards, and adherence to specifications.
- Manage construction schedules, RFI support, and communication between contractors, facilities teams, and project managers.
- Monitor and document work progress through field engineering status reports.
- Organize and oversee weekend and plant shutdown work with all relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between construction teams and project management to ensure smooth execution.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems and general construction methods.
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize project deadlines, and coordinate across teams.
- Experience in construction administration, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
- Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) for technical reporting and coordination.

Pay: $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
