Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations during the third shift. This role ensures production goals for quality, safety, productivity, and scheduling are met while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Duties:
- Supervise manufacturing personnel to ensure production runs efficiently and meets quality standards.
- Provide employees with the necessary training, tools, and resources to perform their tasks effectively.
- Maintain optimal manpower levels, manage vacation schedules, and adjust staffing as needed.
- Ensure all production processes are completed on time and meet quality and labeling requirements.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety practices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Facilitate communication between shifts and departments, keeping operators informed.
- Track production records, maintain accurate time and attendance logs, and report scrap and lost time.
- Monitor equipment maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and write work orders.
- Train and mentor team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Lead and participate in problem-solving meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Support compliance with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of production or plant management experience in a manufacturing union environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on maintaining positive employee relations.
- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
