Quality Inspector

Overview

The role of a Quality Inspector is vital in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards before they reach the market. Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on products to identify defects or deviations from specifications
• Ensure that production processes comply with quality standards and regulations
• Document and report inspection results and recommend corrective actions
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address issues and improve processes
• Develop and implement quality assurance procedures
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
• Investigate causes of non-conformities and implement corrective actions
• Provide feedback to production teams and suppliers regarding quality issues
• Participate in the development and review of quality specifications
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions
• Train and mentor other quality control personnel
• Contribute to the development of quality metrics and KPIs
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in quality control

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures
• Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment
• Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Understanding of statistical methods and quality control techniques
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards
• Certification in quality control or related field is a plus
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) is desirable
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and quality control software
