Overview

The Senior Architect (Cloud Catalog) plays a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions to drive the organization's digital transformation. This role is vital in shaping the cloud architecture and ensuring that the cloud catalog meets the business requirements efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the cloud catalog architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design cloud solutions that align with business goals.
• Create detailed technical designs and document architectural guidelines for the cloud catalog.
• Lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automating cloud resource provisioning and management.
• Champion best practices for cloud-based application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams.
• Conduct regular assessments and reviews to improve the performance and cost-efficiency of the cloud catalog.
• Stay updated with industry trends and assess new cloud technologies for potential integration.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce cloud security measures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practical experience with related tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automation, and orchestration.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud security best practices and hands-on experience in implementing security controls.
• Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, providing architectural guidance and support.
• Advanced skills in evaluating, selecting, and integrating third-party cloud services and solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in creating technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and design specifications.
• Deep understanding of networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies in cloud environments.
• Certifications in cloud platforms and architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
