Job Title: Vaccination Nurse

Job Type: [Full-Time (Contract) 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Vaccinations: Prepare and administer vaccines to patients of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Patient Education: Provide clear and accurate information to patients and their families about the importance of vaccinations, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of administered vaccines, including patient information and vaccination histories, using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all vaccination procedures comply with state and federal regulations, infection control standards, and best practices for patient safety.
• Assessment and Monitoring: Assess patients for contraindications or potential adverse reactions before administering vaccines, and monitor patients post-vaccination for any immediate reactions or side effects.
• Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate vaccination schedules and address any concerns related to immunization practices.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage vaccine inventory, including ordering, storage, and handling of vaccines according to manufacturer and health department guidelines.
• Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in vaccination practices, guidelines, and public health recommendations through continuous education and training.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [CA].
• Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on immunizations or public health, is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in administering injections and performing medical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications related to immunizations may be preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $53.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
