What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales & Marketing Event Coordinator position at Umarex USA?
Under the supervision of and working closely with the Marketing Manager, the Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, logistics, implementation, and reporting for the company's consumer and trade event initiatives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to plan and execute show and event strategies and objectives.
- Maintain event and shows calendar.
- Plan, execute, and manage all logistics for marketing and sales events, including trade shows, consumer shows and events, sales meetings, internal meetings, and other events as requested.
- Coordinate with exhibit house for larger shows, events, and assets.
- Execute show and event requirements and processes, including registrations, fees, services, attendee lists, badges, lodging, travel, and promotions.
- Work closely with the marketing, graphic, and video teams to develop event collateral, promotional materials, signage, video, presentations, and other needed materials.
- Monitor and evaluate event performance, collecting feedback from attendees and stakeholders to identify areas of improvement and implement best practices for future events.
- Track and report expenses for shows, events, and assets.
- Logistics and tracking of product samples and show/event assets, including facilitation of samples to and from sales representatives, media persons, influencers, and ambassadors.
- Product sample testing, assembly, and preparation for sales & marketing needs.
- Stay updated on show and event trends, competitor activities, and emerging event technologies to suggest innovative ideas and enhance event experiences.
- Assist in video and photography production.
- Assist with creation and editing of marketing and sales presentations.
- Execution of executive requests and special projects.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS, WORK HAZARDS:
- Travel is required, including by ground vehicle and plane.
- Must be willing to travel several times per year, including a 7 to 8 day stretch once a year.
- First to arrive at show/event location, last to leave.
- Works in standard office building and warehouse environments.
- Must be able to physically lift items.
- Must be able to pack and assemble product samples and show and event assets.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL SETS:
- Practical/relevant experience in a business environment preferred.
- Ability to work in time-limited situations and must be able to respond to multiple competing obligations while meeting deadlines with limited supervision is a must.
- Must have confidence to present solutions backed by solid reasoning.
- Excellent organizational skills a must.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email and SMS (text).
- Ability to work effectively as an individual in a team environment.
- Expert computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications, especially spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to establish project priority.
