About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to serve as the Director of Student Legal Services. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students, this individual will lead the Student Legal Services Office (SLSO) in providing exceptional legal services to students, while also promoting student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, and prevention efforts related to legal issues impacting students.

• Provide supervision for professional staff within the SLSO, including recruiting, training, and evaluating their performance.

• Represent the Dean of Students Office and collaborate with various departments to develop and implement strategies supporting student success.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of success in leading teams.

• Strong understanding of laws and regulations affecting students, particularly in areas such as housing, immigration, and student conduct.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position is a full-time appointment, with a standard Monday-Friday schedule. Occasional evening and weekend commitments may be required for outreach and programming events.
