">The Director of the Clean Energy Extension will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive clean energy extension program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. - Develop and implement a vision for the Clean Energy Extension program that aligns with the university's mission and strategic priorities. ">
- Lead a team of researchers, educators, and extension professionals to develop and deliver high-quality research, education, and extension programs in clean energy. ">
- Cultivate partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to advance the adoption of clean energy technologies and practices. ">
- Secure funding for the Clean Energy Extension program through grants, contracts, and other sources. ">
- Serve as a liaison between the Clean Energy Extension program and the university's administration, faculty, and staff to promote collaboration and mutual understanding. ">
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in clean energy research, technology, and policy to ensure the program remains relevant and effective. ">
Qualifications

- A graduate degree in a field related to clean energy (e.g., renewable energy, engineering, resource economics, public policy, regional planning, sustainability, energy justice). ">
- At least 7-10 years of experience in the clean energy field, including research, consulting, engineering, project development, finance, policy development and regulation, regional planning, or similar contributions. ">
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of researchers, educators, and extension professionals. ">
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. ">
- Ability to secure funding for research, education, and extension programs. ">
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. ">
- Familiarity with clean energy technologies, current state and federal energy policy, and related incentive programs, particularly the landscape of clean energy and climate policy in Massachusetts. ">
