UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a Medical Director, Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at HealthAlliance- Clinton Hospital, Leominster Campus, in Central Massachusetts. We welcome and support applicants from all Academic Ranks to apply.

About our Department :

We are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 400 faculty members.
The Department of Psychiatry has outstanding training programs which include 27 residents and fellows as well as 16 trainees.

Responsibilities :

Provide psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to medical surgical units and those presenting in the emergency room.

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients.

Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to develop integrated treatment plans.

Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions.

Educate medical and nursing staff on psychiatric issues.

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences.

Document all clinical encounters thoroughly in the Epic electronic medical record system.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.

Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuing education.

Participation in weekday evening and weekend is optional and provides additional compensation.

Qualifications

Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license.

Be board certified or board eligible.
