Role Summary

The Front End Supervisor is a critical role that requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing front-end operations at the Main Campus Store and UMass Downtown, as well as staffing support for offsite events.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, with a focus on customer service, team management, and conflict resolution. They will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing front-end staff, as well as conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Staff Scheduling: Schedule staff for all locations, including the Main Campus Store, UMass Downtown, and offsite events.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff.
