Position Title: Managed Care Enrollment Specialist
Location: Corporate Office/City Bank Building
Job Description:
UMC Physicians is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Managed Care Enrollment Specialist to join our healthcare team. The Managed Care Enrollment Specialist position is a role focused on enrolling and revalidating healthcare providers with various managed-care payers, including Medicare and Medicaid. This role is crucial in ensuring that providers are properly credentialed to deliver high-quality care. The specialist will also facilitate communication between external organizations and providers, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency in the healthcare enrollment system.
Availability Requirements:
- 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
- Full time: Ability to work 40 hours

Responsibilities:
- Compile application documents and submit payer initial enrollment and revalidation
- Monitor, compile, and maintain accurate enrollment records for all providers, and communicate
- Create timely and accurate reports for managed care payers, and perform routine auditing of
- Ensure payers have the most accurate credentials, services, and practice locations for providers
- Act as a liaison for external privileging with other organizations to meet contractual obligations
- Maintain department standards while adhering to all required regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managed care enrollment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with healthcare information systems and databases is preferred.
Environmental Conditions:
Works in well-lighted, heated and ventilated building. Exposure to blood borne pathogens are of low risk.
Physical Requirements:
Work is of medium demand; walking and sitting most of the time while on duty. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills required. Visual acuity and writing skills necessary for factual documentation. Hours may vary to accommodate the needs of the corporation.
