Job SummaryProgram Manager, Volunteer & Guest Services is responsible for creating positive and personalized customer experiences between Guest Services and UMC Health System departments and community partnerships.

Job Specific Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain vision for, design and execution of programs that support value- based care in the community while further promoting UMC’s culture Service is Our Passion model
- Identify ways to develop and grow the volunteer pool from the community and collegiate environments
- Develop overall performance of volunteer functions by defining measurements of performance and standards that drive strategic focus on engagement and participation in the community, NET Promoter Score, and services related to value- based care
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and others to promote engagement and resolve conflicts; further supporting UMC’s culture Service is Our Passion model
- Maintains intern and volunteer compliance system (ie. applications, training, health records, etc.)
- Provides administrative support processing check request, monthly billing, ordering supplies, etc…)
- Performs all other related assigned duties
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years supervisory and/or public relations experience email
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with senior population
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organizational skills that include the ability to maintain accurate records
- Able to adapt to changes in workload and demonstrates flexibility when faced with interruptions
- Ability to type 60 wpm
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
Daily interaction with other UMC departments. Frequent contact with Lubbock’s business community
Physical Capabilities
Occasional lifting boxes up to 20lbs. The employee will sit at a computer and keyboard for long hours.
Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is subject to inside environmental conditions and some outside activities. Work hours may be irregular and may require occasional work in the evening and/or on the weekends
