Job Summary
The Catheterization Technologist I reports to the Supervisor of Cath Lab and is under the guidance of the Catheterization Laboratory Technologist II. The Catheterization Technologist I performs a wide range of functions in the Catheterization Laboratory focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for cardiac, neuro and interventional radiology and supportive duties for a diverse patient population across the age-continuum.

1. Knowledge in appropriate Charge Description Master and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).
2. Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills.
3. Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Possess effective interpersonal relationship skills.
5. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist.
6. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
7. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
8. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Work Experience:
One year of experience in Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology or Neuro Intervention required.
License/Registration/Certification:
Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) required.
Registered Technologist (ARRT) preferred.
Current CPR required.
Education and Training:
Associate degree in Applied Science from an accredited Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology school required.
