Job Description:
University Medical Center of El Paso, in El Paso, Texas is hiring for the position of Medical Technologist. This position requires providing timely and reliable test results used by physicians to diagnose and treat disease based on a high level of analytical knowledge and technical skills. Applicant will be required to analyze blood, body fluids and non-blood specimens utilizing a variety of methodology and instrumentation, and maintain, calibrate, provide quality control, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation. Applicant will identify, organize, and prioritize the test workload utilizing the Laboratory Information System and time management skills.
Work Experience:
One year experience as a Medical Technologist and two years training in clinical laboratory science.
License/Registration/Certification:
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified required.
Education and Training:
A bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Science is required,
