What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mgr. Chest Pain Program position at UMC of El Paso?
Job Summary
Works in collaboration with the Emergency Department, Cath. Lab, Telemetry, Observation Unit and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and other departments to ensure high quality patient care is delivered to the cardiac patient. Assists in developing and implementing the strategic plan for the Cardiovascular Service Line in collaboration with the Quality Management Performance Improvement Department. Coordinates the Cardiovascular program and reports findings to the key stakeholders and appropriate hospital committees. Works in collaboration with nursing leadership across the organization to ensure continuity of care of all cardiac patients and clinical outcomes. Maintains Chest Pain certification for the organization.

10. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
11. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Work Experience
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the direct care of the Acute Coronary Syndrome with patient from the ICU, Emergency Department, Cath. Lab, CVICU and/or Telemetry required.
License/Registration/Certification
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master degree preferred.
