Job Description:
The Inventory Control Manager for Perioperative Services is responsible for building, implementing and maintaining all supply chain system functions within the OR. Coordinates, expedites and manages materials, equipment, instruments and supplies for Perioperative Services. Actively participates in creating Bill Only PO’s and ensures that charge codes are created for all items which do not currently have a charge code.
Required Skills:
- Ability to express written and oral ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Technical proficiency in the use of computers and software applications related to materials and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn materials management techniques for supplies, equipment, instruments and implants utilized in O.R.
- Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Five year of experience working in an operating room inventory and materials management area required.
Three years of management experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
None
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
