Job Description:
Provides direct primary health care services to patients according to updated guidelines. Identifies and manages uncomplicated disease processes according to updated guidelines and an evidence-based system. Consult with a supervising physician whenever there is a significant change in a patient’s condition and prior to initiation of any major treatment plan or major procedure.
Required Skills:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain flexible and positive in stressful situations.
- Effective assessment, evaluation and resolution skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
NP for Southwest Orthopedic Surgery.
Outpatient pre and post operative patient care. No call, no inpatient, no weekend.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Texas
Nurse Practitioner Certified by The National Certification Corporation (NCC) or any other body accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Current CPR certification required.
Must have DEA Number, DPS Number, and the ability to obtain an NPI Number.
Education and Training:
Master of Science in Nursing required.
