- Job Summary
The Neurosurgery Patient Navigator is a member of the healthcare team and assists patients with "navigating" through the healthcare system to obtain timely care. The RN Patient Navigators help coordinate patient care, in conjunction with Neurosurgery clinic team from time of diagnosis through discharge. The RN Patient Navigator is a patient advocate who will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and medical teams to deliver quality patient care. Monitors patient outcomes, and participates in quality improvement activities. Works alongside management staff to implement and develop established or new programs related to department-efficiency and cost-effective program implementation.
- Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Three years of direct patient care experience in an acute care setting. Previous case management experience or related experience is preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
Current Texas or compact RN license required.
Current CPR
Education and Training:
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master degree in Nursing preferred.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
