Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Network & Telecommunications Manager, responsible for installation, problem diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a full range of telecommunication & computer equipment encompassing both analog and digital technologies to include the following, but not limited to: Meridian Northern Telecom System, option 81, Cisco VOIP Phone system, overhead paging, nurse call system, pneumatic tube system, , televisions to include distribution system, CCTV hardware and Security Access controls with associated cabling, fire alarm panels, and fire notification systems. Provides daily support of voice and data ads, moves, changes and troubleshooting, for the Organization.
Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of applicable building codes for healthcare facilities.
2. General knowledge of use of personal computer.
3. Ability to read, write speak English.
4. Ability to make mathematical calculations and follow detailed written and oral instructions.
5. Must be thoroughly familiar with tools and methods of trade.
6. Able to read and follow blueprints.
7. Ability to interpret MSDS Information.
8. Knowledgeable of Life Safety code, NFPA and ADA requirements and specifications.
9. Ability to prioritize assignment and work rapidly and accurately under emergency conditions.
10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
11. Knowledgeable of electronic principles and troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting techniques.
12. Ability to troubleshoot and identify and correct electro-mechanical problems.
Required Experience:
A. Work Experience:
Three (3) years experience in installation, operation and maintenance of telecommunication systems, Hospital and departmental overhead paging, demonstrated experience troubleshooting electronics to the board level.

C. Education and Training:
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of approved and accredited trade school or trade apprenticeship program (OR) equivalent work experience.
