Job Description:
Coordinates and supervises the operational and managerial aspects of specialty areas in the Imaging Center elements which consist of CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography. Maintains respective departments in compliance with inspecting agencies. Ensures efficient performance of patient exams and supervises technical and support staff, in all department elements. Collaborates with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Directors and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services in achievement of departmental goals.
Required Skills:
1. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department''s goals.
4. Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures.
5. Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Eight years of experience conducting procedures in Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI or Ultrasound required.
One year of supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
Certification from one of the following credentialing agencies required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); or
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist required when certified by ARRT in (R) (M) (CT) or (N) required.
CPR certified.
Education and Training:
Associates of Applied Sciences in Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Ultrasound required.
Skills:
