TITLE: LINE COOK
LOCATION: WINTER PARK, FL
PAY RANGE: TBD
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Working on the kitchen line in a professional environment preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to restaurant specs, and executing restaurant standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
- Setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies
- Chop and prepare vegetables, butcher meat and prepare sauces
- Answer, report and follow your executives instructions
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Acute attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Punctual and good time management
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (required):
- Experience in Cooking, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of Japanese/Asian ingredients and products in a plus, although not required
