What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Umiak Outdoor Outfitters?
Umiak Outdoor Outfitters is looking to expand our booming program department to our seasonal store in Richmond. We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented person for this seasonal position. This position would oversee and run our expanded river programming and summer boat rentals. An ideal candidate would be willing to be cross-trained in retail and work the extent of the summer season.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee our expanding programming
- Use a point-of-sale system to make reservations
- Run tubing shuttles on the Winooski River
- Maintain company vehicles
- Maintain rental equipment
- Rent boats and educate/aid customers on proper use and transportation
- Back up retail staff when needed
- Educate customers on opportunities around them in regard to boating/tubing in the area
Work Hours & Benefits This position is 9-6 but varies on time of year and holidays. This is a part-time seasonal position.

Staff Requirements / Skills:
- ACA Certification (Can be trained through Umiak course.)
- First Aid/CPR
- Must be able to lift 70lbs overhead
- Clean driving record
- Attention to detail
- Good judgment
- Works well under pressure
- Trailer/large vehicle experience is welcome not needed

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
