I. Major Responsibilities :
- Assesses and obtains a patient's basic health status, records, and related data according to standard procedure and needs of the patient and their families.
- Administers medications, performs treatment as ordered, and operates equipment according to policy and procedure.
- Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administers vaccinations.
- Participates in implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions, and teaching.
- Documents patient care according to standard procedure. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and / or RN and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.
- Assists provider with treatments, procedures, and special tests as required or directed.
- Communicates with patients via electronic, telephonic, and in person, per scope of practice.
- Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Maintains a safe environment.
