What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agribusiness Middle Market Regional Director position at Umpqua Bank?
In this role, you will lead and direct a Middle Market Banking region of $1B , serving clients with $15MM of annual revenue. You will be responsible for management and oversight of 2 to 4 market teams to manage and grow assigned portfolios. You will coach Market Directors to successfully grow revenue by attracting business relationships while deepening existing relationships and support the attraction and retention of key talent to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
Functions
* Lead, manage and grow Middle Market Offices within assigned region. Work closely with Market Directors to develop strong teams and partnerships with other business lines.
* Responsible for the P&L of an assigned region, establishing and implementing new strategies to maximize performance.
* Lead and manage a Regional Credit team to streamline and improve credit processes within region. Responsible for credit risk management in the region.
* Establish strong client relationships with some of the most complex clients and key principals to form deep relationships and obtain trust.
* Develop increased participation of Middle-Market Market Directors in the respective community/region by being involved in regional organizations and board memberships to function as the "face" of the bank in the respective region.
* Manage and maintains credit quality standards. Achieves satisfactory credit exams. Grants credit within approved guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* 1-5 FTEs
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields required
* Master's Degree in the field of Business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields preferred
* 7-10 years prior experience in middle market, commercial, or corporate lending.
* 7-10 years prior management experience leading a production team and effectively handling employee and customer relations issues.
* Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of Middle Market lending and the finance industry.
* Proven record of developing and implementing successful market growth strategies and other sales accomplishments.
* Advanced credit acumen with a history of positive risk management behaviors.
* Extensive experience with banking regulations, policies, and methods of operation.
* Advanced interpersonal, leadership, and management skills required. Proven ability to attract, motivate, and retain a high-performing sales team.
Ability to communicate effectively with small and large audiences; often includes presentations to customers at a high level (i.e. CFO, CEO, and other Executive levels).
