Transport Driver

Essential Functions: Candidate must have 18 months of experience with a Class A- CDL. Wage range $24.98 - $27.76

• Reads work orders/load sheets or follows oral instructions to ascertain that all products are on the truck and delivered in a safe and timely manner.
• Loads and unloads products from delivery truck using hand trucks and pallet jacks on some routes.
• Knowledge of all products both current and new.
• Always maintain the correct temperature of your truck/trailer.
• Observe all driving laws, safe and defensive driving is very important.
• Make sure your load is secure before moving.
• Learn to operate the Handheld Route accounting computer and printer assigned to each driver
• Keep delivery truck clear of clutter and clean up spills.
• Report vehicle and safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Transfer inner office mail and pick up freight when applicable.
• Mount tire chains on specified tires as needed (subject to weather conditions)
• Confirm load is of legal weight
• Other duties as assigned
