Background:
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women Myanmar is committed to providing learning opportunities for a wide variety of stakeholders on key substantive topics. As such UN Women will be organising a Seminar Series that will consist of four to eight seminars with national and global experts. UN Women is seeking a consultant to produce graphic recordings of the seminars. The consultant(s) will operate under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist.
Description of Responsibilities /Scope of WorkThe consultant will work under the supervision of the Programme Specialist. The consultant will be responsible for producing graphic recordings/summary reports of UN Women events, workshops, meetings, and other activities.
The main activities of the consultancy will include, but not be limited to visual coverage of events, workshops and meetings of UN Women Myanmar,
unless assigned to support other targeted programmatic activities. UN Women will provide technical guidance where relevant.
The consultant will work closely with UN Women to perform the following tasks:
The consultant must deliver graphic recordings/visual stories covering events, workshops and meetings for UN Women Myanmar, or as per
UN Women Myanmar’s given assignments. The precise amount of content to be visualised will be for further discussion with the consultant.

- Conduct high-quality graphic recordings/visual stories of events, workshops, meetings,

- Produce and edit time-lapse videos with background music of said graphic recordings and prepare them for dissemination when relevant.
The consultant must deliver graphic recordings/visual stories covering events, workshops and meetings for UN Women Myanmar, or as per
UN Women Myanmar’s given assignments. The precise amount of content to be visualised will be for further discussion with the consultant.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Abide by the UN Women Visual Communications Guidelines;
- Supply or ensure access to all editing equipment and software as needed;
- Successfully capture and visually present the core elements of the situation/activities assigned for coverage in a clear and creative manner;
- Incorporate the feedback of UN Women and partners as appropriate and necessary;
- Ensure that the graphical recordings/visual stories and time-lapse videos are relevant to their purpose and hold a high quality (inclusive and gender/conflict-sensitive imagery and language, appropriate size and resolution including: (i) Delivery of graphic recordings/visual stories in a digital format with a DPI appropriate for publication, such as JPEG/PNG/TIFF with a 300 dpi or higher; (ii) 4k progressive video format with 25-50 frames/sec, and; (iii) Final videos with High-Res CODEC (lossless) such as Apple Hi Res 422 HQ or LT);
- The consultant has the right to be credited, implying that their name should accompany all originals and reproductions of their work.
