Job Summary
As a Police Officer in small and quaint Unadilla Township, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting members of the public, preventing crime, and investigating criminal activities within the Township. This is an ideal position for retirees, or those candidates looking to maintain certification.
Duties
- Enforce laws, respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
- Conduct patrols to maintain public safety and order
- Investigate crimes, collect evidence, and interview witnesses
- Arrest suspects and prepare reports for criminal cases
- Provide traffic control and enforce traffic laws
- Assist in community outreach programs to educate the public on crime prevention
- Handle animals in distress or involved in criminal activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in conflict management and law enforcement
- Proficiency in report writing and surveillance techniques
- Ability to handle animals safely and effectively
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Valid MCOLES certification plus at least 1 year experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
