Overview
This part-time, on-campus position involves overseeing and coordinating event staff during smaller events, which take place in the evenings and occasionally on weekends. The Part-Time Event Supervisor will act as the point of contact for clients during the event, ensuring smooth communication and addressing the needs of all attendees to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate 3 to 4 event staff members during events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events, addressing questions, concerns, or requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all event setup, execution, and cleanup meet USU Event Services expectations and organizational standards.
- Monitor event timelines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Support and guide event staff to maintain levels of customer service.
- Ensure all attending customers are cared for and their needs are met during the event.
- Provide post-event feedback or reports as needed.
- Reports any staff issues or concerns to Event Coordinator

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and / or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include confined or narrow spaces. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
