SWBMG, a San Francisco based multi-specialty medical group that provides primary through quaternary care in both ambulatory and hospital settings, is growing and we are seeking an experienced VP of Finance to keep our finances positioned for success. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the executive leadership team. The VP of Finance will join a team of high-performing professionals whose mission is to provide integrated, comprehensive, world class, patient centered medical care, while advancing medical knowledge and educating tomorrow’s physician leaders.
Responsibilities
- Help drive the company’s financial strategy, including tax and investment strategies, by providing financial, operational, and strategic oversight for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Coordinate development of annual operating and program budgets.
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
- Oversee financial operations and long-term planning, including but not limited to, monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, tax strategy, performance management, and proforma development.
- Provide administrative leadership and direction of finance operations and fiscal management of the medical group, including financial reporting to committees and the Board of Directors.
- Assure that cost-effective services are provided to the medical group.
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments.
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for management team, and rest of company.
- Provide senior management and the Board of Directors a clear picture of current and future performance.
- Ensure company complies with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
- Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
- Staff the Finance Committee, a subcommittee of the Board of Directors.
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex : Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, state attorneys general).
- Maintain effective employee, community, and Board relations.
- Promote positive community contacts and relationships.
