Job Title: CSEY Advocacy Coordinator
Job Status: Full-time, exempt, grant-supported (1-year grant, but plan to seek continuation)
Job Location: Northeast Texas (Kaufman, Bowie, Van Zandt, and Hopkins counties)
Job Summary: The primary functions of the Northeast Texas CSEY Advocacy Coordinator are to provide leadership and supervision for the advocacy team; ensure effective advocate training and excellence in service delivery; develop and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement, service partners, and other referral sources; monitor intake of new clients; and ensure timely and accurate documentation and data collection.
Compensation: Annual salary
Benefits: Unbound Now offers a generous benefits package including health insurance for employee and family with premiums covered by employer; employer-paid life insurance for employee; and the option to participate in Unbound Now's retirement plan (with 3% salary match after 90 days with a 1-year vesting period). Dental and Vision are available at employee expense.
Schedule/Availability: Generally, Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30. Weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Frequent back-up/supervisory call. Anticipated 45-50 hour work week.
Working conditions: Work performed in a mix of office and field settings. Work duties may on rare occasions be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, fumes, odors, bodily fluids, and noise.
Travel: This position will require travel within the region for in-person supervision of advocates, partner meetings, training and team/professional development opportunities
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong line of communication with Unbound Now's Survivor Advocacy Program Director regarding any issues related to advocacy services
- In coordination with Unbound Now's Survivor Advocacy Program Director, implement, and monitor compliance with policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with law enforcement agencies and other service providers in order to ensure identification of victims and seamless referral for and provision of victim services
- In coordination with Unbound Now's Survivor Advocacy Program Director, recruit, screen, train, engage, supervise, and retain advocates
- Recruit, screen, train, engage, supervise, and retain advocacy interns and volunteers
- Work with local coalition(s) or task force(s) as appropriate
- Schedule and document all required trainings for advocates, interns, and volunteers
- Schedule and facilitate weekly advocacy team meetings
- Provide training and support in implementation of OHTS tool
- Monitor local survivor advocacy budget
- Seek feedback from service partners
- Monitor for red-flag or inappropriate behaviors and/or policy violations and respond appropriately to allegations of abuse, including youth-to-youth sexual activity:
- Take allegations seriously
- Respond immediately - if there is a reason to believe behavior is abusive, report to authorities
- Report to Unbound Now's Survivor Advocacy Program Director immediately
- Collect information, as appropriate
- Develop and document the response and corrective action
- Determine and meet the needs of the alleged victim, as appropriate
- Prevent further access by alleged perpetrator
- Review data for programmatic grant reports
- Participate in monthly advocate resilience group
- Conduct annual advocate performance reviews
- Assist in setting goals and providing data for advocacy-related grant applications
- Meet regularly with other Unbound Now survivor advocacy leadership for peer support and to collaborate on survivor advocacy projects
- Submit expense documentation properly and within required time frames per company expense policy
- Card Managers are responsible for reviewing each team member’s spend and assessing adherence to policy on a weekly basis and following all Ramp Monthly Closeout Instructions and Process
- Submit travel reimbursements daily and approve TripLog on a weekly basis adhering to all travel guidelines
- Review and approve timesheets bi-weekly- identifying grant allocations are met
- Complete all Unbound Now required training in a timely manner

Supervises: Advocates, survivor advocacy interns and volunteers
Experience and Education:
- Masters or licensed in social work or related field preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working with survivors of human trafficking or youth in crisis
- Trained and experienced in trauma-informed care
- Training in use and supervision of motivational interviewing, preferred
Job Requirements:
- Mature Christian faith, as evidenced by participation in a local Christian church
- Three references, (supervisor, professional, personal)
- Agree to and pass all required criminal background checks, including DFPS criminal history check and abuse and neglect registry check
- Pass employment eligibility verification
- Clinical licensure and/or experience a plus
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and supervision skills
- Experience working with youth survivors of human trafficking
- Trained and experienced in trauma-informed care
- Culturally competent
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to problem solve in the moment with advocates and provide coaching and resources as needed
- Completion of required pre-service and ongoing trainings
- Abide by all Unbound Now policies and procedures at all times, including Unbound Now’s Abuse Prevention and Response Policy
- Willingness to use personal vehicle for work travel; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current car insurance
