We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and experience in construction plumbing. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. As a Plumbing Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Perform construction plumbing tasks on job sites, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure timely project completion.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
- Assist in remodeling projects by installing new plumbing systems or modifying existing ones.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing practices and local building codes.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with remodeling projects is a plus.
- Obtains a current plumbing license is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
