Position Summary
 
The clinic X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a clinic setting, ensuring the highest quality of patient care. The X-Ray Technologist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain accurate and timely images, contributing to the diagnostic process and overall patient experience.
  1. Diagnostic Imaging:

    • Perform X-ray examinations to create detailed images for diagnostic purposes.
    • Ensure the use of proper positioning techniques to obtain accurate and high-quality images.
  2. Patient Care:

    • Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process and providing necessary support.
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  3. Equipment Operation:

    • Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
    • Perform routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions promptly.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of images.
    • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to address specific patient needs.
  5. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and any relevant observations.
    • Input data into the radiology information system (RIS) or electronic health record (EHR) as required.
  6. Quality Assurance:

    • Adhere to quality assurance protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic images.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Patient Education:

    • Provide basic information to patients about the X-ray procedure and address any questions or concerns.
    • Ensure that patients understand and follow pre-exam instructions.
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Hiring compensation ranges from $21.50 - $31.18 / hour. This position is non-exempt.
Position Qualifications
  • Minimum Education
    • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  •  
  • Experience
    • 0-1 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
    • Clinical radiographic and imaging experience from an AMA accredited radiologic program preferred.
  •  
  • Required Registration/License/Certification
    • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at time of hire.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related technology.
    • Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand, walk, and move comfortably within the clinic setting.
    • Manual dexterity for tasks such as administering medications, conducting procedures, and operating medical equipment.
    • Lifting and positioning capabilities to assist patients and handle clinical supplies.
    • Sharp visual acuity for patient assessments, documentation, and reading medical records.

    • Primarily in a clinic setting with occasional travel to other clinical sites.
    • Standard with flexibility based on patient needs.
    • Exposure to radiation; strict adherence to safety protocols.
    • Handles emergencies or crisis situations
