The Clinical Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of healthcare services, ensuring the integration of student rotations and healthcare professionals in rural health settings under the AHEC Rural Teaching Hub grant. Additionally, the manager will develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure positive student experiences and effective healthcare delivery in rural environments.
The position will offer a starting salary of $76,000.00 with compensation commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities for the AHEC Rural Teaching Hub grant, ensuring smooth operations for student and healthcare professional rotations.
- Assist with scheduling and onboarding of students and healthcare professionals, including PA, NP, and medical students.
- Collaborate with UNCHA staff to ensure proper integration of students and healthcare providers in rural health settings.
- Facilitate interprofessional learning activities, including rural health-focused didactics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners for student engagement and rotation experiences.
- Assist with housing coordination for students and staff, liaising with AHEC staff and securing additional accommodations when needed.
- Prepare and maintain quarterly reports for grant compliance and documentation.
- Graduate of a school of nursing program; an Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

At least two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse (RN) required.

Previous health care experience in an acute care or clinic setting is required.

One year of prior experience in a nursing leadership role: charge nurse, supervisor, etc. is required.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required at the time of hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required within one (1) year of hire.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) is preferred but is not required.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training and certification is required within one (1) year of hire.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training and certification is required within one (1) year of hire.

Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with the public, patients, family, staff, and physicians and acts within the chain of command, utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal skills.

Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within legal limits of license and certifications and hospital policies and procedures.
