The Clinical Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing all clinical aspects of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position reports directly to the Practice Manager and requires a strong background in medical assisting, leadership skills, and the ability to manage clinical operations within scope. Responsibilities include:

Clinical Oversight:
- Supervise and lead the clinical team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
- Oversee patient care activities to ensure optimal quality and efficiency.

Staff Management:
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to medical assistants and clinical staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager in recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff.

Training and Development:
- Implement training programs for clinical staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant information with the team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Patient Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Oversee scheduling, appointment management, and patient flow in the clinical area.
- Address patient concerns and ensure a positive patient experience.

Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular audits of clinical processes to maintain high standards of care.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall clinic performance.
- Monitor and address any deviations from clinical protocols.

Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and the Practice Manager.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the clinical team.
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss clinic operations and improvements.

Resource Management:
- Manage clinical supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure availability.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager on budgetary considerations for the clinical area.
- Identify and address any resource needs within the clinical department.

Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with relevant supervisory experience.

Associates Degree in Allied Health or Health Sciences preferred.

Proven experience in a clinical supervisory role, preferably in a medical assistant or LPN capacity.

Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare settings.

Familiarity with gastroenterology clinical operations is a plus.

Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at the time of hire.

Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of North Carolina.

In-depth knowledge of support clinical operations.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the clinic for extended periods.

Manual dexterity to perform medical assistant duties and supervise clinical procedures.

Ability to lift and carry clinical supplies and equipment.

Work primarily takes place within the clinical setting of gastroenterology and endoscopy suite.

Exposure to various healthcare environments, including examination rooms and administrative areas.

Interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and clinic staff.

Occasional requirement to work flexible hours based on clinic needs.
