ARHS / MAHEC is recruiting for Family Medicine Faculty
- Must be able to work and teach in Outpatient and Inpatient environments
- 70% Clinical / 30% Administrative
- Option to provide prenatal and low risk obstetrical care (if applicable)
- UNC Affiliated Health System
- EPIC experience a plus

MAHEC Family Medicine Residency has more than 40 years of outstanding medical training as the largest Area Health Education Center in North Carolina and the nation. Residents have always been key contributors to our program’s environment of innovation. Our comprehensive training places a strong emphasis on rural medicine, community-based care, women's health, behavioral medicine, geriatrics, and the care of special populations including patients with substance use disorders. Partnering with Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS), a small non-profit health system based in Boone, NC, residents get the best rural family medicine training in the state.
ARHS currently owns 2 hospitals in Boone and Linville, NC (Watauga Medical Center and Cannon Memorial Hospital); as well as a regional cancer center, a 27-bed inpatient behavioral health center
