What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT TECHNOLOGIST position at UNC Health Southeastern?
POSITION SUMMARY: Produces CT images under the clinical supervision of a Radiologist. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:
ARRT certified. Completion of formal program in CT Technology, and certified (ARRT-CT) or obtained within 6 months. BCLS certified.
Preferred: Associate Degree in radiography.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and technical practice relevant to neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
