What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Education Facilitator position at UNC Health Southeastern?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Education Facilitator will assist the Administrative Director of Medical Education with the coordination of departmental services encompassing the training programs per Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This includes administrative support, marketing, recruiting, orienting new trainees, overseeing compliance with medical licensing agencies, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Director, the Medical Education Facilitator will develop and maintain all rotation schedules and calendars per specialty-specific curricula as well as monitor and analyze evaluation data. All the duties and standards within this job description will be performed according to the established policies, procedures and guidelines outlined in the department and policy and procedures manuals.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree required with two years administrative/clerical/office experience OR Associate's degree with five years of administrative/clerical/office experience.
Preferred: Three years’ experience in a formerly accredited American Osteopathic Association or currently Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education residency program in a Graduate Medical Education department, in a teaching hospital, with background in resident recruitment; Bachelor’s in management, social science, or education is required. Must possess excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, etc.); excellent time management, organization, and planning abilities; excellent oral and written communication skills.
