Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Quality Coordinator is to monitor compliance with quality improvement initiatives. The Quality Coordinator performs ongoing measurement, data collection, management and analysis for a myriad of quality improvement initiatives included in the organization’s performance improvement plan, focused nursing documentation and initiatives driven by regulatory citations/plan of correction. If the employee is assigned a specialty area that is more than 50% of their job duties, they will be designated as the coordinator of that specialty area.

- All hospital staff, medical staff, patients, and patient's family.
Other information:
EDUCATION- Registered Nurse with current NC license (BSN preferred) or related bachelor’s degree or higher in health-related field.
- EXPERIENCE
- At least three to five years of hospital experience.
- LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
- Registered Nurses must have active NC license or credentialing related to specific degree.
- OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three to five years of experience in health-related field. Project management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, data management, highly developed computer skills, organizational skills, analytical reasoning, and the ability to think critically and work independently.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Normally works 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday with hospital recognized holidays off.
- May be required to work alternate schedule or additional hours to accommodate need of the department.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is sedentary by nature but is required to stand or walk.
- Required to bend, stoop, kneel or reach.
- Required to move, lift or carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds and on occasions up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for operating Personal Computer and other equipment.
- Must have close intermediate visual acuity.
- Must be able to hear and verbally communicate with others.
