About the Job:
The Certified Medical Assistant II plays a crucial role in providing routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other healthcare team members in an outpatient clinic setting.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Performing rooming and/or intake process, collecting data, including vital signs, height, weight, and data related to patient's reason for visit.
- Collecting patient and family data, including medical and social history.
- Reviewing patient's current medication list, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
- Assisting the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy.
- Administering medications under the direction of a provider.
- Performing tests, such as EKG and eye exams, under the direction of a provider.
- Maintaining exam and treatment rooms, ensuring they contain appropriate supplies, equipment, forms, and educational materials.
About You:
- You have a minimum of one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
- You have a strong ability to engage positively with patients and families, and to work as a team with staff and providers.
- You are able to use a computer to document required information into the electronic medical record.
