Summary :
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides anesthetic services as a member of the surgical team, contributing to the overall care of the patient before, during, and after surgery. The role includes technical and mechanical functions as well as the ability to function in unusual situations by utilizing expert knowledge and professional judgment in assessing problems and implementing significant nursing actions relative to that advanced practice role.
Responsibilities :
Patients and families are served in providing direct patient care services. Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships with co-workers, physicians, and other departments in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and hospital.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; graduate of an accredited advanced practice anesthesia program; MSN preferred.
