This IT Web Designer / Developer - 1 position supports the NIMH Psychoactive Drug Screening Program (PDSP) as the PDSP web developer. This position will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the current information system (IS). The PDSP administrative and scientific team will use this web application to administer the program, track requests and samples, deliver results to registered users, and prepare progress reports to the sponsor agency.
The PDSP uses open source software like Ubuntu, PHP, CSS, jQuery, MySQL, and Yii framework. The PDSP is integrated with output files from robotic lab equipment and plate readers. This position requires the management of confidential / encrypted data. Additionally, this position will help to support / revamp other PDSP applications. Operational tasks such as back-up and help desk duties may also be required.
