The FM Tech Mechanical Trades performs under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Housing Shop Supervisor.Duties include but are not limited to:Responsible for performing routine maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.You are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to use electrical test devices to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.Use standard hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
