About the Role:
This position plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of our jewelry department, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Key responsibilities include assisting with sorting, cleaning, and tagging jewelry, as well as minor repair work.
Customer Service Focus:
- Providing exceptional customer service is essential in this one-on-one sales environment, making each guest feel welcome and valued.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of various types of jewelry, including precious metals and stones, is crucial for effective product recommendations.
- Familiarity with current trends and designs in fine and costume jewelry is also required to stay competitive in the market.
Operational Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the jewelry area, adhering to weekly task guidelines.
- A basic understanding of cash handling procedures is necessary, including operating a point-of-sale system.
- Safety protocols must be followed at all times, including reporting any suspicious activity or shoplifting incidents.
Physical Demands:
- Light to moderate lifting is required, along with repetitive motion and prolonged standing or sitting periods.
Work Schedule:
This role requires working Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and holidays, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
